Walk, run, eat, and have a lot of fun while you raise money for Sutter VNA & Hospice. The Human Race is an annual event in which participants collect pledges and raise money for their favorite non-profit organizations -- including Sutter VNA & Hospice.
The Human Race is a giant community party, with prizes, entertainment, and refreshments! Some participants dress up, some run as teams. (You can even sponsor the famous Santa Rosa "Hospede" team for $300 and they'll proudly carry your banner at The Human Race, the Apple Blossom Parade, and the Rose Parade.)
Best of all, you're helping to support hospice and home care, grief support groups, and bereavement programs for all who need these services, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Human Race takes place rain or shine, Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Registration, start and finish lines are at:
Herbert Slater Middle School - 3500 Sonoma Avenue-Santa Rosa.
Registration: 6:30 - 7:45 a.m.
Run starts: 8:00 a.m.
Walk starts: Immediately following runners.
Run and Walk Route: through Howarth and Spring Lake Parks.

How it Works
|
The Human Race is a community event for all ages. Participants are raising money for the charity of their choice -- we hope you'll choose Sutter VNA & Hospice!
Choose between a 3K (1.8 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) walk or run.
Collect pledges from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers for each mile you walk or run, or a flat amount. For every $100 you collect, your name will be entered into a drawing for great prizes. If you raise $50 in donations you'll receive a Human Race tee-shirt. As you raise more money, you'll receive more prizes!

The 3K or 10K Walk is free. There is a $20 fee to register for the Run.
